My First Job
Being a Babysitter and Friend
Maybe not everyone would consider babysitting a real first job but I do. I gained so much experience in responsibility, kindness, and having fun. I've babysat countless families- all in which I love, but the first family I sat for is by far the best.

Even after a couple years, I still wish I was getting my very special kids off the bus everyday, and I miss it more than I thought I would.

Wegmans
As I was entering my Junior year of High School, I quite randomly started applying for jobs. I had enough money from babysitting nearly every week, so it wasn't something I entirely thought through, I just knew I loved the store, and I knew I would love working there. I was very right.

I spent 5 years at Wegmans. I started as a cashier for the first 2 years. I loved the customers, I loved to talk to them about what they liked- the day always went by fast. It was great.
An opportunity opened up in the Prepared Foods section, and even though my friends were still on the front end as cashiers, I took a job in a new department. I was cooking every day, serving customers, and making recommendations- probably my 3 favorite things. When I went to college I took every opportunity to work when I was home, but one day they said they wanted to transfer me over to the Pizza/Coffee department.
I am not someone to say no to a good opportunity, so I of course said yes. When I was in Prepared Foods, I exclusively worked with adults much older than me, I loved them and they appreciated me and my work ethic a lot, but in the Pizza/Coffee department I had the chance to work with people my own age.
It was definitely an adjustment, it was a lot more work, many more food safety protocols that I was responsible for, and unfortunately a little less help. I had to quickly learn everything to help out my short staffed team, and get to work. I am still so thankful for this job for showing me how to multi-task, the value of working as a team, and the importance of asking for help when you need it.

Wegmans has taught me so much and I am so grateful for my time there, I would not be the person I am today with out them and my team.
Blue Mountain
My Current Job
I have only recently started my new Office Administrator position at Blue Mountain Landscaping, but I absolutely love it. I have learned so much about running a business and I'm eager to add experience to my resume that will show how I can work in my desired field of IT.

They have been so great giving me opportunities to learn and grow, and I am so excited to go to work every day. So far its been a great experience working here.
